The IV Lily Pad Project is a youth-led initiative to bring comfort and courage to childrening undergoing IV treatment. What started as one Eagle Scout's mission has grown into a movement of kindness and creativity.
After concluding the first IV Lily Pad Project with Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital, I realized that I wanted to enable others to bring IV Lily Pads to their local Children’s Hospitals.
The mission of The IV Lily Pad Project is to enable individuals, groups, and organizations to make IV Lily Pads for their local hospitals. An IV Lily Pad creates a more pleasant environment to ease the challenges on ongoing infusions for these kids who are facing health challenges.
An IV Lily Pad is a cheerfully-decorated and sealed wooden platform that sits at the base of an IV Pole. Young patients can sit, stand, be pushed on or just enjoy the art while receiving infusion treatment. An IV Lily Pad creates a more pleasant environment to ease the challenges on ongoing infusions for these kids who are facing health challenges.
We've compiled everything you need to know and do to build your own IV Lily Pads. Since you likely want community involvement, these instructions also cover everything that you'll need to do to run events.
